Summerlin Stair Renovation

This Summerlin stair renovation completely changed the character of the home’s central staircase. The original white wood balusters and traditional railing were removed and replaced with a streamlined black railing system featuring substantial square posts, dark wood handrails, and horizontal metal cable-style infill. The new design opens the sightlines around the stairwell while creating a strong architectural focal point that feels modern without overwhelming the surrounding space.

Warm wood stair treads and coordinating flooring provide a natural contrast against the crisp white walls and dramatic black railing. A sculptural black-and-brass chandelier adds another contemporary element overhead, tying the finishes together and drawing attention to the height and openness of the stairwell.
